Farmers First Coffee Welcomes Its First Intern!

Posted by on

We're excited to announce that we've welcomed our first intern to the team: Avery Schaefer.

Avery is in her third year at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte working toward a degree in Spanish Language and International Studies as well as a certificate in Spanish Business. After a semester living and studying abroad in northern Spain, she decided to choose a major that would allow her to be flexible in her career choices, as she hopes to one day live and work abroad.

Her passion is and always has been learning new things, which is what prompted her to pursue an intern position with Farmers First Coffee Company. She shared with us that she believes it perfectly combines her interests in Spanish culture with her love for international affairs and business development, and she hopes that she can give the company and coffee farmers as much as she will learn along the way.

Avery will be working primarily on helping to expand and improve the Farmers First Coffee internship program for future participants. She'll also be traveling to Honduras to meet some of our partner-farmers later on in 2019. Welcome to Farmers First Coffee, Avery!
